Increased Value Capacitor Assembly to upgrade CARVER M-1.0T

After 30 years of service, your Carver M-1.0T is ready for a new set of Power Supply Capacitors!  We've designed a custom replacement assembly that features increased Value Capacitors to replace the original power supply capacitors in
CARVER
M-1.0T amplifiers. They feature low ESR design, long life, compact size and precision-aligned pins for high performance and ease of installation.
The capacitor voltages and values are consistent with the MK-II modification as published on thecarversite.com.  The increased voltage capacitors result in improved lifetime for the parts.  For improved performance, the value of the low, mid and high rail capacitors have been substantially increased as follows:

+/- 60V         3,300uF / 63V     6,800uF / 80V
+/-100V        6,800uF / 110V   7,800uF / 160V

Custom designed for Carver 1.0t amplifier.
Each assembly replaces 6 original capacitors--only one assembly is needed for a M-1.0T amplifier.
High quality custom PCB made from two sided FR-4 material.
High quality capacitors are used in the assemblies. They are rated at 50, 80 and 160 Volts meaning that they will be operating well below their limits. This results in significantly improved lifetimes for the parts.
The value of the replacement capacitors has been increased significantly for increased instantaneous power, improved clarity and better bass response.
The assembly includes wiring points for the +/- H supply lines and two 0V lines that were wired overhead--allowing them to pick up noise.  The design cleans up that mess and gives the amp a lower noise floor.
Compact design fits the footprint of the original parts--no additional wiring, hole drilling or component mounting is required!

The assembly has clearly marked test points to probe the high supply rails.  This makes it more convenient for calibrating the supplies and verifying operation.
Low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) design using ultra-wide, double-thickness traces (2 ounce copper) on both sides of the PCB for superior audio performance.
Mounting pins are precision-aligned so assembly slides right into M-1.0T power supply board capacitor holes.
Assembly measures 5 1/2" X 3 1/2" X 3 1/2"
Easy-to-follow, illustrated installation instructions are included, sent as a PDF via e mail.  Instructions also include procedure to calibrate supply voltages and amplifier bias.

The assemblies are brand new and will be shipped in protective packaging.
The listing is for the capacitor assemblies only, not the complete amplifier.
The capacitors can be replaced by a person with intermediate to advanced soldering skills. A soldering iron, solder wick and solder are needed to replace the part. When you're done soldering, wash your hands because solder contains lead. Please note that replacing the capacitors will fix the amplifier only if the capacitors were the problem to start with!

Carver amplifiers have high voltages of 120 VAC and +/- 100 VDC present during operation. They have capacitors that can store potentially deadly charges for over one minute after power is disconnected from the amplifier. Repairs to be made by qualified service personnel. We do not want you to get hurt, and we don't want you to hack up these classic amps!!! If you need assistance with a repair, we can do it at our facility, or refer you to another qualified repair facility.
